For MATCH REPORTS, click on the underlined opponents' names in the table below.

  • 12th July - Abbey Hey FC - Away. Abbey Hey manager Neil Brown saved the club from likely relegation last season. Neil, who doubles as the Altrincham FC groundsman, will no doubt include a few familiar faces fromthe Altrincham reserves' side which he used to manage.
  • 17th July - Trafford FC- Away. Under Ged Kielty's managership, Trafford have just romped away with the Vodkat First Division tiltle and now rejoin the UniBond League.
  • 19th July - Manchester United XI - Home. The Champions' League winners can be expected to send a team containing potential stars of tomorrow and perhaps the odd star of today.
  • 22nd July - FC United - Home. FCUM have just achieved a third successive promotion.
  • 26 July - Stalybridge Celtic - Away. Celtic narrowly lost out in the promotion play-offs to Barrow.
  • 29th July - Bradford City - Home. The Bantams have visited Alty on a couple of occasions in recent years and will be welcome visitors once again.
  • 2nd Aug - Blackburn Rovers - Home. Rovers, too, have been recent visitors to Moss Lane in pre-season and usually include some well-known faces in their team.
