After a largely uneventful and goalless first half, Altrincham, with eleven new starters for the second period, took the lead just after the hour-mark when Tom Crawford set Linney in on goal. The striker beat goalkeeper Ford with a low shot.
A Nomads error near halfway allowed Kosylo to run towards goal and finish smartly past the keeper to make it 2-0 (72 mins).
With Alty well on top, a foul by O'Hara on Sotona gave Linney the opportunity to convert a penalty which he duly did to make it three-nil for the Robins (76 mins).

It was also Amaluzor who had the only other decent shot before the break, when set up by Haygarth. This time, he drew a save from Ford (38 mins).
In terms of other action, a rare corner was won after 42 minutes which Bailey knocked wide.
Just before the break, CHN had a bright moment when a good run by Nji was halted by Banks at the cost of a corner, which was cleared (45).
