FLEETWOOD TOWN DEVELOPMENT SQUAD 3
ALTRINCHAM 4

Friendly match
played on Tuesday, 23 August 2022 at 12 noon

SUMMARY:

In a hastily arranged friendly played at Fleetwood Town's Poolfoot Farm complex, Alty fielded a strong side against the Lancastrians' Development Squad. In no game this season had Altrincham scored before the opposition and, for the third game in succession, they fell behind in the opening stages.

However, Marcus Dinanga earned the visitors a penalty, which the striker himself converted to level the score at 1-1. Before the first break, a Chris Conn-Clarke effort was parried to Ben Pringle who doubled the lead.

Lewis Baines, Egli Kaja and a trialist replaced, respectively, James Jones, Alex Sami and another trialist. Dinanga then added to Alty's lead with a header after Baines had headed on a Pringle corner.

Egli Kaja made it 4-1 following a move involving Academy product Amaar Hussain and Ben Pringle but Fleetwood gave their side some respectabiity with two late goals.
