SUMMARY:

Altrincham took a sixth minute lead when captain, Jordan Hulme, got free and lifted the ball over the keeper.

Trialist Callum Gribbin doubled the lead on 40 minutes when he got past Maitland inside the penalty area and his low shot found the net

After 57 minutes sub keeper Kearne's was beaten by a Pringle shot which found the top corner of his net from 18 yards, making it 0-3.

Jacob Cook pulled back a goal from a Crook feed after 77 minutes to reduce the arears to 1-3.

But Alty netted twice in the closing stages. First, an Elliot Osborne curler found the top corner of the home net, before substitute Marcus Dinanga (right) turned well and netted with a firm shot (90+1 mins).

BACKGROUND:

For the third time in four pre-season games, Alty faced opposition from a NW Counties side as they sailed across the Irish Sea to face FC Isle of Man, who had been runners-up to Alty's only conquerors this summer, West Didsbury & Chorlton in the First Division of the NWFCL.
