  • Colin BELL: Midfielder, released after a handful (3+5) of appearances for TNS, his Alty debut was as a sub at Cammell Laird, 19 July 2005. He had been a trainee at Rochdale. was also at Bury and Chester Reserves.
  • Adie BROCKLEHURST: Recommended by Kirk Hilton, Adie played as a sub striker against Radcliffe on 23 July 2005.
  • Liam BROWNHILL: Liam is an Altrincham-born, 18 year-old defender formerly at Stockport County. Alty debut as a sub against Cammell Laird, 19.7.05.
  • Steve GARVEY: DOB 22.11.73. Striker/midfielder from Northwich Victoria whose Alty debut was up front against Morton, 16 July 2005. Then played on both flanks against Cammell Laird. Former clubs include Blackpool and Crewe.
  • John GILLIES: Not a trialist but rather a loan player, goalkeeper John Gillies played for Alty at Cammell Laird on 19 July 2005. He is Trafford's new, ex-Chorley keeper, who was loaned to us due to Stuart Coburn's tight hamstring and Richard Acton's substitute duties with TNS against Liverpool.
  • Lutel JAMES: (dob 2 June 1972). Lutel made his debut for Alty on 28 July 2005 in a friendly against Lincoln City and signed non-contract forms for Altrincham the next day. Lutel's early career was at Selby Town, Yorkshire Amateurs and Scarborough before he joined Guiseley. From there he moved to Hyde in 1996. He joined Bury from Hyde in 1998 but they released him at the start of the 2000-01 campaign. Lutel next joined Accrington Stanley where he had a prodigious scoring record. In November 2004 he went on three-months' loan to Droylsden but picked up an injury. He is a St Kitts & Nevis international.
  • Nehru McKENZIE: An ex-Hyde United midfielder whose Alty debut was at Cammell Laird, 19.7.05.
  • Karl MUNROE: At Halifax Town last season and before that with Macclesfield Town, Karl's Alty debut was as a sub at right back against Morton, 16 July 2005. Then played at centre-back against Cammell Laird.
  • Stephen OWENS: Young, pacy striker from Macclesfield Town, who scored on his Alty debut at Trafford, 21 July 2005. Released in last week of July 2005.
  • Lee ROBINSON: A midfielder, whose former clubs include Crewe, Stoke City, Burnley, York, Wigan and Telford but he has recently been coaching in Canada. In Canada, he coached Algonquin College to the National Finals and has been coach at several clubs in the Ottawa area.
  • Chris ROYLE: DOB 30.1.81. From Northwich Victoria, his Alty debut was at right back against Morton, 16 July 2005. Other clubs include Winsford, Congleton, Witton and Reading.
  • Gavin SALMON DOB 8.12.77. At Droylsden last season, previously at Flixton and , Woodley and Atherton LR and Hyde United, Gavin is a striker. whose Alty debut was as a sub against Morton, 16 July 2005. Released in last week of July 2005.
  • Aaron WILFORD (23): 6ft 3in striker who was with Stalybridge last season but his former clubs also include Whitby Town, Lincoln City, York City, Darlington and Clyde. Alty debut at Cammell Laird, 19.7.05, where he scored the game's only goal.
  • Wes WILKINSON A former Alty Youth striker, released by Oldham Athletic in 2005. Debut as a sub v Morton 16 July 2005. Released in last week of July 2005.
  • Gary WILLIAMS: A striker, who made his Alty debut v Lancaster City on 26 July 2005 and scored. In January 2000 he moved from Accrington to Doncaster R. for £60,000 and played 16 games for the Belle Vue side. He returned to Accrington for £25,000 in September 2000 and had a month each at Southport and Chester on loan in late 2001. In March 2002 he went on loan to Rossendale Utd for whom he signed that summer. In September 2004 he joined Leigh RMI.

    Trialists who have yet to play...

  • Darren EDMONDSON: 33 year-old full-back released by Chester in April. Previously at Huddersfield, Carlisle and York City. However, he is working at Gretna and played for Barrow in a friendly on 16 July so looks unlikely to figure at Moss Lane.
  • Lee RICHARDSON: A former Halifax Town, Watford, Blackburn, Oldham, Huddersfield, Aberdeen and Chesterfield midfielder. Yet to play for Alty.
