  • Away Travel

Away-match coach travel is arranged by S.T.A.R. the Altrincham FC Supporters' Trust, through its Travel Co-Ordinator, Mark Eckersall. Services run to all away league and cup games and discount rates are charged to S.T.A.R. members. You can join S.T.A.R. by visiting its webpage. All fans intending to use the coach must book in advance; this can be done at the ground on matchdays or by ringing the Club on 928-1045.

Coaches are provided by Go Goodwins, based in Eccles. Their owner is Geoff Goodwin, chairman of Altrincham Football Club. Go Goodwins kindly provide the coaches at a discounted rate to allow supporters to get to away matches in comfort.

It is aimed for coaches to reach away venues an hour before kick-off on Saturdays/ bank holidays but slightly less early on weekdays. They depart for the return journey straight after the game. The coaches are alcohol-free so the trips are suitable for all ages.

For journeys starting at the Vine, the pick-up point at Station House is on the Metrolink side of Stamford New Road. For journeys starting at the Ground, the pick-up points at the Hare and Hounds and Vine are opposite the pubs in question. For maps of the grounds of all UniBond Premier sides and of the routes to get there, please visit the  Links Page of this site.

No responsibility can be taken for any errors in timings or directions on this page, nor for postponements, though every effort will be taken to ensure that details are correct.
